welcome to my inner journey

Wed Nov 11, 2009, 5:09 PM
life is a journey and if we can never find journeys' end in the material world we can always find in our minds, places of interest, tranquility and beauty that we can share by producing through the abilities of our hands and our voices.

After spending sometime living in a small hut in Issan, north east of Thailand freely giving my blood to the ever present mosquitoes, i finally felt i was escaping the clutches of mass consumerism of the West that is slowly but surely creating a world of same, but i knew it would not be for long before it catches up with me and my little haven.

I could feel the heat, humidity and a freedom of the mind in this beautiful countryside. The way i felt with this freedom i incorporated it into my work and i could clearly connect with the way Paul Gauguin must have felt over one hundred years ago.

Please enjoy, i paint for the love of art, not for the money.
